The Skechers Men’s Afterburn M. Fit is a decent choice for casual wear and light activity. They offer a comfortable fit and a stylish design, making them suitable for everyday use.
Pros:
Comfortable Fit: The memory foam insole provides good cushioning and support.
Stylish Design: The sleek and modern design appeals to a wide range of tastes.
Lightweight: The lightweight construction makes them easy to wear all day long.
Cons:
Limited Durability: The sole material may not be as durable as some other options, especially for heavy-duty use.
Lack of Arch Support: Some users may find that the shoes lack sufficient arch support, particularly for those with high arches.
Overall, the Skechers Men’s Afterburn M. Fit is a solid choice for casual wear and light activity. While they offer comfort and style, they may not be the best option for those who need more support or durability.

Bought these shoes on Feb. 6, 2024, probably arrived as couple of days later and they have lasted a long time. The uppers look almost new, but the soles are showing obvious wear. I wear these shoes only for our daily walks. My wife and I have been walking 5 miles every day since Feb. 14,2019 and yes, we do take vacations but choose to take road trips. People say they walk every day but do people actually walk a dedicated separate walk every day? We have not missed a single day since then. We have walked in single digit wind chill and triple digit feels like temperatures. We have walked in snowfall, been caught in heavy rain and against high winds. We have walked on rough asphalt, gravel roads, shopping mall parking lots, river trails, and park trails. Walked with illness, and injury, but we have never missed a day. As of Oct 21,2024, I have walked in these shoes 257 days.

This was my first time buying and wearing shoes with a memory insole, and it was great. I have had them for a while, and they not only remain very comfortable but are still in great and dependable shape. I think this product is very much worth the price, and plan to get more in the future.

Shoe feels nice and sturdy but it isn’t too heavy. Shoe is very comfortable and has been doing great as my new work shoe. The shoe fits great but the laces are a little short although it hasn’t really been a problem since they haven’t come untied.

I’m a female raiding the mens department to find a pair of hiking shoes in non-girly colors. (ATTN manufacturers – not all women want their feet to look like Rose Bowl parade floats!) I’m 5’8″ 115 lbs, normally wear a women’s size 9M or a men’s 8M. I bought these in a men’s 8M.
PROS
—these shoes are unbelievably comfortable. I’m guessing it’s the memory foam. You could blissfully wear them all day right out of the box!
—great arch support.
—they are true to length.
—they are a bit wide through the footbed, even compared to other men’s shoes. (Not so wide as to be a deal breaker. Actually a little extra width makes them especially comfortable!)
—they look nice, sturdy, well-made.
CONS
—a problem with being a girl raiding the mens’ shoe department can turn up in the heel and ankle. Even when laced up tight, they’re just too loose in that area to secure the foot. This might be no big deal if I just needed them to wear them indoors or around town, but for hiking tricky conditions like rocky trails, snow or ice, I need precise control of footing. A mid-rise hiking boot rather than low-rise might be a better choice (Not to belabor the point, but my beloved old Salomon Tech-Amphibians, which unfortunately aren’t made anymore, were low-rise but had an adjustable strap that circled the back above the heel that made for a custom fit for precision footing in both womens and mens versions.)
—not a very deep tread. Thinking traction again.
—not waterproof. In soppy outdoor conditions, I’m concerned that wonderfully comfortable memory foam might soak up water and make me miserable, especially in winter.
So unfortunately, I’m having to return them. I think these would be great shoes if you are on your feet all day indoors, like working in a hospital, restaurant, retail, etc. But if you’re looking for a hiking and outdoor shoe, I’d suggest considering the PROS and CONS above before making a selection, especially if you want a shoe for all seasons. Happy trails and good luck!

I was initially concerned that these Skechers Men’s Afterburn shoes would be too heavy for gym activities like lifting weights or running. However, once I received them, I was pleasantly surprised. They are sturdy and very well-made, with refined details, yet they are not cumbersome when walking. This makes them solid shoes, even though I haven’t tried running in them yet, but it seems that won’t be an issue. Despite looking big and wide from the top, they have a sleek and sporty appearance from the side. I’m very happy with my purchase and highly recommend these shoes due to their fantastic price-to-quality ratio.
