I have more narrow feet, so keep that in mind. The top strap did feel a bit tight at first, but loosened enough right away.
I walked around in my house for a couple hours, and the shoes seemed great. They look cute and seemed comfortable. So, I bought a second pair in another color and made the mistake of taking both pairs to an out of town conference, without bringing a back-up pair of shoes. I brought some bandaids for my heel as a preventaive against a bit of early chafing while breaking them in. That turned out to be insufficient after a day of travel/walking through airports, as they rubbed in more than one spot on the back and outsides of my heels. (I think it’s just been a long time since I bought real leather shoes, and I forgot the extent of breaking-in needed.)
I had to buy more bandaids and just deal with them. I ended up just wearing the one pair to try and get them broken in. I will have to wait until my blisters fully heal to see whether the shoes are fully broken in enough to be comfortable. They seemed to be rubbing less as the week went on.

I got these for dress shoes they are comfortable and look nice. I ordered my usual size 8 fit well.

Love them trying to decide if I need to return. The room in the toe is great lots of wiggle room. They feel good on EXCEPT they are a tad short I’ve worn a size 10 shoe med forever, have worn Clark’s a lot. Never had trouble with any of their shoes. Always fit great. Not today. So I have them on with socks, walking on carpet to see if since they are leather they will give alittle. I know an 11 would be to long and I love these. I’ll give it a day or two but they are short in length!

So I originally saw this shoe all over Amazon under 5 different brand names. I figured out that the Clark shoe is the original brand (or at least a brand that I know is a legit shoe brand). Every brand had their own size chart w totally different measurements from the others even though it appeared to be the same shoe. With that said I scoured through the reviews and also noticed that Amazon (I’m assuming their AI) was suggesting I get an 8.5. So I did.
Bad advice. The shoe was entirely too small for me. So I immediately did the drop off at UPS return (because you can’t just exchange). Luckily I was doing the Affirm payment plan so I was able to immediately order the correct size.
That turned out to be 9.5W. I’m not 100% sure I needed the W… but that 8.5 seemed pretty narrow and the shoe leather is pretty stiff to start out so I didn’t want to mess with having to “break it in”. I got the 9.5W this evening (SO happy that size had the same day delivery option). IT FITS PERFECT!
My feet measure exactly 10 inches right and left… maybe +/- 0.1 or 0.2.
According to the size chart that is size 9.5. I should have done what I normally do and followed the size chart from the start. I do NOT trust the Amazon AI size suggestion. 100% of the time it is wrong bc I’ve experienced this with clothes too.
And when in say size chart… for this shoe, the little blue lettered “Size Chart” link up near the top is what I went by. Not even sure there’s an “in ad” size chart from Clark. I usually go by the one in the pics in the descriptions but this time I didn’t.
So ladies…. Trust the size charts. I regret not doing it in the first place BUT since Amazon is fairly easy to return items, I’m fine with making the mistake at the start. I am happy I went with the Affirm payment plan – otherwise I would have been out $60 for a bit and not been able to get the right size right away.
Excited to wear my new shoes!!! They are SUPER cute and comfortable. The leather is stiff but I prefer that since it means the shoe is brand spanking new! It’ll soften up after some wear.

They are better than expected. Soft support inside. Not completely flat. About 1 inch heel is perfect for daily use and even for longer walks. Leather quality is very good . Looks nice with Indian outfits as well.
