These water shoes were inexpensive ($33 shipped at time of review). They are OK, but nothing special. They dry fairly quickly and have decent tread/grip.
There is a MAJOR flaw with these shoes though. They are way to stretchy, and they run large. So if you are hiking on uneven terrain, you know, like river rocks, boulders, trails with elevation change, etc. these shoes will allow your foot to spin/slide in the shoe. So that the bottom of you foot ends up on either side of the shoe when you are stepping on uneven terrain, making them extremely annoying/unsafe.
These shoes run LARGE. I am normally a men’s US size 12.5-13 shoe. I ordered the size 12.5 and they are way too big. Which wouldn’t be a big problem if these shoes could tighten down, but they cant. The elastic lacing on the shoes is weak, extremely stretchable, even when cinched down as tight as possible. The plastic mechanism that is supposed to keep the laces tight is super weak and lets the lacing get loose with the slightest strain (like walking over uneven terrain when you really need you shoes to stay put).
The thing that looks like a strap with a buckle around the heel of the shoe is just for show. It can not be tightened. The strap is sewn to the buckle, no adjustment is possible, so it is worthless.
Do you want cheap water shoes for a pool or a beach? Sure these will work.
Do you want water shoes for a river or hiking? These are terrible, find something else.
BUY A SIZE DOWN, THESE THINGS ARE HUGE AND LOOSE

Love these shoes. Easily slip on and very comfortable. love wearing them around our Lakehouse. Dry quicky when they get wet. Very stylish and even not bad for walking around all day in at the lake. Fit true to size. Only dislike is the shoe cutout on bottom of inside shoe, sometimes pops out when you slide them off…..easy to put back in though.

I didn’t expect too much out of these shoes. I pressure wash a lot of buildings and just wanted a decent water shoe. These things are pretty durable and grip really well. The size was exact and the flexibility makes them feel like I’m barefoot.

I specifically got this for hiking along rivers. Hiking boots are too clunky for maneuvering the rocks along across streams on hikes. This provides enough protection from stones and twigs but does not limit my mobility or weigh me down.
It’s also pretty decent to swim in as it will protect your feet from sharp rocks. It’s also easy to put on and off and dries quickly when out of the water so your feet doesnt get too cold after.
I would not recommend for winter and fall hiking of course but that is to be expected.

I use it to go fishing and walking on rocks – never slippery and sturdy. Lightweight and easy to put on.

These may be the best water shoes I have ever had. A little pricier than your normal 10 dollar ones from walmart, but well worth the cost. They’re even tough enough to go hiking in the woods with.

I am a fly fishing guide on the amazing white river in north Arkansas. As summer comes in, I didn’t want to wear heavy wading boots to row the boat. Hot, clunky and clumsy boots…..still have to get in the water to launch and load the boat though, so, I wanted a shoe that can get wet and still give a small bit of protection for my feet.
Back story, I’ve repaired mining and forestry machinery for 2 decades and have worn heavy weight steel shanked, steel toed boots the whole time. I have grown very accustomed to having that level of boot on my feet.
First run in with these shoes, they smell a bit funny when you first get em outta the bag…. Ok…. All things smell funny at first.
First try on. I have a narrow foot, finding a shoe that fits narrow feet is a truly impossible task in today’s times. I saw what appeared to be an adjuster on the sides of the shoe, maybe it’ll slide tight and keep the shoe firmly attached to my heel…. Yeah, nope…that buckle is there just for show. No special adjustments.
First time to the river…. Launched the boat, in the water and the shoes surprisingly didn’t hold water and were dry pretty quick! Ok cool… Fished and rowed the boat all day. Comfy shoe.
Time to load the boat and drop the clients off, hop out to eat anchor and get the truck…. There are rocks along the rivers edge here… You can literally feel every dadgum single stinking pebble right through the soles of these shoes. For the first time in 20 years, I got a stone bruise on my feet…yeah, both of em ..
Imagine this: I am 6ft 1, 270 pounds, full sleeve tattoos and a beard to my belly (I probably would fit in better at a biker bar than as a fly fishing guide) hobbling around trying to get up the bank to tbe truck because the shoe soles arebt firm enough to allow a full sized dude to walk aroubd on some rocks.
So … Ending…
They don’t hold water and dry quick. They are light and cool. The adjuster is for looking at not for using and the soles are SOFT. Maybe I am spoiled by years of wearing logger boots, who knows…

I picked these up during a flash sale and wish I would’ve bought a second pair. They’re lightweight, supportive, are great in the water or on land and are so comfortable I now wear them for yard work as well.
